CSEM and QDI Systems Launch Quantum Dot CMOS Image Sensor for Direct X-Ray and SWIR Imaging

CSEM (Swiss technology innovation center) and QDI systems have developed the world's first image sensor to directly convert X-rays into electronic signals using quantum dots on CMOS platform.

This approach to imaging is revolutionary and has huge potential. It enables compact, low-cost, and scalable wide-spectrum imaging for variety of applications. The image sensor can be used from X-ray, through visible, to the shortwave infrared spectrum.
